Fitness Foods
Do you need to eat less to lose weight?
Are you eating the right things?
There is a good chance that you are eating foods that you feel are healthy, but are causing you to put on the pounds.
-A lot of fruits are high in sugar.
-Most meats contain a lot of fat.
-Many harmless snacks contain more calories than most of your meals.
-Many drinks fill you with calories but do not fill your stomach.
Wake Up!
Read the nutritional information on the foods that you eat. Doon't look at the advertisements on the package that tells you the food in 95% fat free. If you create a mixture on 5% fat and 95% water that would be 95% fat free. However, the water has no calories so all the calories in that mixture are fat. Not 5%. 100% of the calories are from fat. This is how clever marketing fools you.
There are some foods that you think aren't all that bad:
-A large order of nachos at the movies may contain over 1000 calories and as much as 55g of fat.
-That bourbon and soda you had at the bar may be more than 100 calories. How many of those did you have? (after diner!)
-22oz of soda may have as much as 60g of carbs.
-Some of those little harmless minature candy bars can be around 40-45 calories each.
-A medium order of fast food fries may have over 300 calories.
-And that specialty cheeseburger is probably over 500 calories.
Most people do not realize what they are putting in their bodies.
Do you really pay attention to what you eat? Or do you just assume that eating an apple in the morning and having a salad at dinner will is cutting back on calories? If you are not really analyzing your food, you may be even taken in more calories than you were before you started dieting.
