Good Exercise Equipment For Your Home Gym
A home gym can be expensive. But, to get the best workout with the right equipment you should join a gym. Above all things, this commitment is probably the best and biggest that you will make.
We can not always make it to the gym every day. Let's face it. Those of us that work the ole 9-5 and have families just can't go to the gym everyday.
For that reason I recommend that you invest in a few, key fitness items for the house. It is not necessary to have complete home gym if you already have a place to workout.

using a treadmill for weight loss.
Beginner - Intermediate
-Medicine Ball There is a reason this item is first. It is a versatile tool that can be used to work all areas of the body. And is an excellent item to use with a training partner. I think it is the best piece of exercise equipment for the money.
-Workout Ball These are great for isolation exercises and can be used in many different ways to strength the abs.
-Ankle and Wrist Weights A very inexpensive tool that will add extra resistance in everything that you do. Just wear them around the house. The extra weight makes a big difference.
-Jump Rope Great cardio! Jump ropes also help build coordination. They are great for getting the heart rate up and helping to burn some calories.
-Resistance Bands When you are trying to get in a quick workout at home, using resistance bands can help increase the effectiveness of your workout.
-The Kids!!! Don't forget that the kids can give you a great workout. Don't have any, then borrow some. Children are full of energy and can keep you active. And it's nice to sometimes just be a kid again. Throw the football, shoot some hoops, whatever your kids want to do.
Advanced
-Heavy Bag A good 80lb punching bag can provide an intense workout. They are good for building strength, improving coordination, and just plain wearing you out. A home gym must.
-Medicine Ball I know I mentioned this above. Well get rid of the old one and get a heavier one. You will find these at most gyms. So why not have one at home.
-Speed Rope You have graduated from the regular jump rope. It's now time for the speed rope. This will give you a better workout. Excellent cardio.
-Dumbbells No I do not mean to call your ex. The workout kind of dumbbells. I would recommend a couple small dumbbells of various weights. 5, 10, 15, and 20 lbs. These will be great for those days you can't make it to the gym.
-Bicycle Just one more thing you can do with the kids. Roller blades are great too. You may want to consult with your children on this decision.
None of these items can replace the equipment and the workout that can be obtained at your local gym. However, things come up. Believe it or not, as I have been writing this I take breaks and jump rope.
You don't need a home gym to exercise at home. Just a few good items.
