What You Should Know About Weight Loss Supplements

With so many weight loss supplements and fat burners on the market, you have to wonder if they even work. So here is the truth. Like it or not nothing on the market is going to make you thin until you get off your butt and exercise.

There are some products that help you to control your appetite, but that doesn't last long. You can drop a few pounds in a few days burn then the weight loss starts to level off. You have to exercise.

The way and only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you are taking in. Period!

That is it. There is no big secret to weigh loss. Just that one simple equation. And if you don't burn more calories than you take in, your body will store the rest. If you were hoping for a magic pill that will burn fat while you watch TV, sorry.

Are there supplements that will help you lose weight if you diet and exercise? Yes there are. But you probably don't know what to look for so I will help you by explaining some of the products on the market.

Stimulants

Stimulants aid in fat loss by giving you extra energy to workout a little harder and a little longer.

Caffeine is probably the most commonly used stimulant on the market. There are some products that are just pure caffeine. Many products contain caffeine in different forms. I can not say that it is the healthiest thing that you can put in your body, but it does help you increase the effectiveness of your workouts by giving you that little extra boost. I would say that if you aren't already working out to the point that you just can't going any more. Then caffeine may not be much help to you.

Ginseng is considered a safe alternative for stimulants. Although, in my experience, I have not seen the same spike in my energy level as I do with caffeine. But it does seem to give you more energy throughout the day. I like this type of stimulant because I don't seem to crash when it wears off.

Synephrine is a stimulant similar to caffeine. One good thing about this product is that it is suppose to provide stimulation without increasing the heart rate or blood pressure.

B-12 is a good safe product to provide extra energy to help you keep going. B-12 helps form blood in the body and improve the functions of the brain and nervous system. I always like taking it in the morning to help me get through the day. However, some people feel that B vitamins work together and that you should take a B-complex instead of taking B-12 alone. Both ways have worked well for me.

Non-Stimulants

Non stimulants work in a different way to help you burn more fat during exercise and to block unwanted carbs and fats.

Thermogenics are good fat burners that will help you to use some extra calories while you workout. The idea is to trigger the body to raise it's temperature. To do this the body must use up more energy (calories). You can get a similar effect by working out in at colder temperatures.

Fat Blockers are products that help to bind up the fat that you eat and not let the body absorb it. You are basically keeping the fat from entering your body.

Carb Blockers are essentially the same as fat blockers. The carbs are never absorbed by the body and not turned into stored energy.

Appetite Suppressants

Appetite suppressants are very good because they help prevent you from over eating. They should never be used to help you under eat. By under eating you create health risk and will reach a point where you body begins storing more fat.

Green Tea is my favorite. I love green tea and have a cup every morning before I start the day. Most green teas have a slight amount of caffeine that gives me a little pick me up. Full of antioxidants, green tea is great to add to your regular diet to help your body heal fast and build a strong immune system. If you don't like drinking green tea, there are many products the contain green tea extracts.

Yohimbine has been mostly used as a stimulant. It can increase your heart rate and blood pressure. I have noticed that I have had a lack of appetite when I have used the product. It always works well to increase your sex drive.

Water can keep you from getting hungry. A lot of times our mind gets confused and tells us that we are hungry when we are thirsty. Next time you get that feeling like you want something to eat but don't know what. Drink some water and see if that desire doesn't go away.
